Lift Subs & Plugs
OSS
lift subs & plugs are manufactured from AISI 4145H Alloy and heat
treated to drill collar specifications. Threads are coated to prevent
galling during make-up. The lift plug may be center-bored to reduce
weight and has one inch neck below the lifting plate for reworking
threads. |
Integral Pup Joints
Pup joints are manufactured from the same
material as drill collars. Our integral pup joints have the same
tensile and torsional rating of drill pipe with the same pin ID
bore. All connections are phosphate-coated to improve resistance to
galling.

Spiral Drill Collars
OSS spiral drill
collars help prevent differential wall sticking. Their function is to
reduce the wall contact between drill collar and the wall of the hole.
The box end is left uncut for a distance between 18 and 24 inches below
the shoulder. The uncut distance of the pin end is 12 to 22 inches
above the shoulder.

Bent and Orienting
Subs
These
special subs are manufactured from AISI 4145H (modified) heat treated
to 285 - 341 BHN with 40 ft/ibs minizods. The body diameter being the
same as the down hole motor size. Deviation angles on bent subs
available from 1o to 3o in 30min.

Orienting subs are manufactured to accept customers' mule-shoe sleeves
which are locked into alignment by set screws.
